Play with a MIDI keyboard, or the computer keys as two piano manuals — lower hand on Z/A, upper hand on Q/number row, overlapping in the middle. Frequencies only — no notes.
FIELD is the whole point: at zero the notes stay where you struck them, and as you raise it the field tunes the chord by physics. Hold a chord and sweep it to hear the harmony find itself.
A MIDI controller drives the whole console — the modulation wheel is
FIELD, the reverb send, brightness and pan land where you expect, and the
volume, expression and sustain pedals all work. The full map is in
docs/MIDI.md.
MIC opens the microphone as a controller: your vowel shapes the sound (and, with STEER up, where pitches settle); your sung line leads the ensemble at LEAD. The voice itself is never heard.
The voice is analysed on your device only and never leaves it.
